Questions about chiropractic care? Dr. G has answers!

Here are a few of the questions we hear most frequently and our answers to them. Of course, if you have others, we encourage you to ask, either at your appointment, or ahead of time!

I have no experience with chiropractic care. Will it work for me?

It’s natural to feel a bit nervous, anxious, or uncertain about anything you haven’t experienced before. Dr. Garner himself was uncertain chiropractic care could work before it helped him with chronic asthma as a teen. Chiropractic care has a proven record of accomplishment. And it’s a pain-free alternative to harmful drugs and surgery.

How long do I have to come for visits?

That’s entirely up to you! We don’t pressure our patients to commit to elaborate health care plans. Our focus is on relief care. The number of visits Dr. G recommends will depend upon your condition and your health goal. But on average, he sees patients with non-chronic conditions recover within just 4-6 visits. Patients suffering from chronic pain generally experience relief in that same time frame, but may need more regular visits in order to see lasting change.

Do you accept insurance?

We accept all area insurance plans, and are in network with all major carriers. Feel free to call us at (505) 892-2222 to confirm the details about your plan. Our staff can help you understand your coverage and gain the maximum chiropractic benefit from it.

Do you respect patient privacy?

Absolutely. Dr. G conducts all of his diagnoses and treatments in private rooms. We want you to feel safe and secure throughout your experience with us. Please let us know if you feel uncomfortable in any way.

Do you take X-rays on site, or refer patients elsewhere?

We consciously avoid radiation exposure. As a result, we’ll refer you to another facility if Dr. G feels he needs to see X-rays of your spine in order to diagnose and treat you. However, this is extremely uncommon. Dr. G’s three decades of experience equip him to care for most conditions without seeing films, and he recognizes when they’re necessary. Additionally, Dr. G will refer you to some other specialist if he feels they’re better equipped to address your condition. Your well-being is our primary concern.
